Storylines
People are concerned over biblical literacy today. Even among those who are trying to follow God, there are thousands of especially young people who don’t know how to read the Bible. They don’t know where to begin, they don’t understand what’s in it and they are intimidated by it.
Mike Pilavachi and Andy Croft address this head on by exploring the main themes of the Bible – covenant, kingdom, salvation, presence, worship, and Jesus – so that they can provide keys to unlock understanding. The result is an exciting journey into the Big Pictures of Scripture. On the way they uncover more about the Person the Scriptures point to.
Worship, Evangelism, Justice We know that worship is much more than singing songs to God. Don't we?
This book looks at what happens when we let Worship infuse all areas of our lives, what Evangelism looks like in todays culture, and what God's passion for Justice means in a broken and hurting world. God holds all three close to his heart: if we bring them back together, could we regain the lost voice of the church? Sample chapter...
Wasteland? Encountering God in the Desert With honesty and wit, and drawing from characters in the Old and New Testament, Mike helps us to understand - and even relish - those difficult times in our lives when our dreams are unrealised and our spirituality feels dry and lifeless. Sample chapter...

Mike Pilavachi Bio
Mike Pilavachi is founder and Pastor of Soul Survivor Watford, a congregation aiming to reach out to the young people of Watford. He is also the founder and leader of Soul Survivor, a youth organisation seeking to reach, disciple, equip and empower young people to make a difference in their generation. Soul Survivor grew out of the Anglican church, St Andrew’s Chorleywood, that was equipping Christians to move in the power of the Holy Spirit through the ‘New Wine’ family conferences.
It was clear from the growth in the youth work at New Wine that something separate was needed for young people so in 1993 Mike Pilavachi launched Soul Survivor’s first conference in Shepton Mallet, Somerset. This first event hosted just under 2,000 people and the number of delegates has grown every year since. In 2007 it reached over 28,000 people. Soul Survivor is now global holding annual conferences in Australia, Holland, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, the USA and UK.
Mike Pilavachi is one of the founders of ‘Hope’ alongside Andy Hawthorne (The Message) and Roy Crowne (YFC). Churches across the United Kingdom are constantly at work serving and communicating with 58 Million residents and many visitors to the United Kingdom. 'Hope' proposes to support this work, by facilitating intensified, united, focused prayer and a year of activities, communicating the Gospel through words and actions, creating a lasting legacy of both physical and spiritual change in the lives of communities and individuals.
"Hope in 2008 provides an amazing opportunity for all Christians to work together and make a huge impact on this nation. My hope and prayer is that through representing Jesus in words and in deeds we can see lives transformed and bring lasting change"
